A Rishikesh Retreat · 4 days

Rest in Rishikesh

A 4-day complete rest-relax-rejuvenate retreat in the lap of the Himalayas, at the banks of the Holy Ganga.

Unlock Rishikesh and tap into its inxplicable energy with someone who calls it home and knows the place like the back of her hand — beyond the tourist books, Instagram reels, and check-lists.

In just a few days, immerse in the heart of Rishikesh the way experienced travelers and locals do.

Eat nourishing food at some of the best cafes, get a taste of holistic wellness through guided yoga classes, healing massage, and sound bath sessions, and pick up a new skill along the way.

Tap into the sage wisdom of learned men at satsangs, and get lost in kirtans.

Dance like no one's watching at an ecstatic dance with organic music — no drugs, no alcohol.

Live amidst the lush green monsoon mountains, surrounded by forests, hike to secret nature trails and waterfalls, and feast on views that belong in ancient paintings. Truly unlock a side of life in India that's a departure from the chaos, materialism, and hustle and bustle of the city — just a few hours away from it.

Go back with a calmer mind, a relaxed body, a new perspective on life itself, and hopefully a friend or two for life.

02 · MEALS

Hearty meals at some of the best cafes in India

Rishikesh has hundreds of great cafes. I've curated the best few. Start your day with a healthy and delicious breakfast at a place of choice. Be it smoothies or a south Indian dosa, cafes in Rishikesh offer it all. Lunch is at another great cafe, hidden from the casual tourist trail. Views optional, but vibes guranteed. Four days, eight to ten amazing cafes. Evenings wind down with a home-style thali dinner (psst...some of which can be at the humble abode of yours truly).

An evening yoga class

Are you even in Rishikesh if you didn't experience Yoga in the OG Yoga capital of the world? Attend an open-level session by a skilled yoga teacher, as the day winds down, no experience required..

Ganga aarti
04 · AARTI

Aarti at the river bank

Truly, one of the most surreal sights in Rishikesh. Come evening, the ghats of the Ganga buzz with an Aarti that's as visually stunning as it's soothing. .

Indian music concert
05 · MUSIC

A classic Indian music concert

Heritage is at the heart of Rishikesh and yet very tourists and tourist itineraries follow it. Attend an evening of a classical Indian musical concert in an intimate setting and pamper all your senses.

10 · SUNRISE

A sunrise ride to Kunjapuri temple

Up before the sun for the ride to the temple, where the Himalayan range unfolds below as it gets light.

Sound healing session
11 · SOUND

A sound healing session

Truly one of the unique experiences Rishikesh does best. You lie down on a mat while a practitioner plays Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes — the vibrations lower your stress, slow your brain waves, and calm your mind.

Ayurvedic massage
12 · MASSAGE

An Ayurvedic massage

The biggest pamper-yourself moment of the four days. A full-body, deeply relaxing massage with herbal oils, by a therapist that's definitely better than the one back home.

Your host

About the retreat master

I'm Monica — a yoga teacher, aspiring chef, and avid traveler. I lived in Bangalore almost my whole life, until Rishikesh came calling. After quitting my corporate career, I came here three years ago for a yoga course and never quite left.

Now a local, I know the place like the back of my hand. I've done the usual tourist checklist, but the true soul of Rishikesh, for me, has been in the smaller joints and hardly-known experiences that random walks around town keep rewarding me with. My own travels around the world shaped how I built this retreat — with a seeker's expectations, and real respect for their limited time and budget, in mind.
